China And Germany Jointly Build Advanced Manufacturing Joint Research Center
Sep 08, 2018

The "EMAG China-German Advanced Manufacturing Joint Research Center" jointly established by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the German EMAG Group was unveiled in Nanjing on September 4. The research center is the first open electrolysis processing laboratory of the EMAG Group in China, and is one of the few laboratories with high-precision electrolytic processing capabilities in China.

It is understood that Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is a well-known institution of higher learning in the field of machinery manufacturing in China. It has a leading position in cutting-edge research and talent cultivation in precision machining, high-speed machining, special processing, intelligent manufacturing, etc. It is established in cooperation with Pukou Economic Development Zone. Pukou Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute is an important research institution for high-end manufacturing of special processing technology. ECM Electrochemical Metal Processing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of EMAG Group, has strong technical strength in this field with its many patented technologies in the field of precision electrolytic processing.

Dr. Long De, CEO of EMAG (China) Machinery Co., Ltd. said that EMAG has always attached great importance to the research and development and innovation of process technology. Cooperation with professional organizations is an important means to understand user needs. Electrolytic processing has obvious advantages, but it requires a lot of experience and expertise in process development. The establishment of a joint research center in China can close the distance with users and provide users with more targeted solutions.

“Precision electrolytic machining technology is one of the most efficient technologies in the processing of aerospace components. It is extremely advantageous when dealing with difficult-to-machine materials and complex structural components. This technology is also the focus of China Southern’s attention and research. EMAG Precision Electrolytic Machining Equipment It is a cutting-edge equipment that has been verified by the market and has high technical content. It is used in internationally renowned aerospace manufacturing enterprises. It is hoped that this model will be used to learn foreign experience, strengthen China's technology in precision electrolytic processing, cultivate local talents, and improve China. The level of high-end equipment manufacturing," said Fu Yucan, dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Boeing's latest long-term market forecast for civilian aircraft shows that passenger traffic growth and the upcoming decommissioning of aircraft will create a demand for 42,739 new aircraft over the next 20 years, with a total value of $6.3 trillion. According to industry insiders, in order to win this huge market share, Chinese aircraft manufacturers and aerospace component manufacturers must fully invest in new and innovative technologies to find high-quality, high-efficiency and intelligent processing technologies. Precision electrolytic processing technology is one of the most representative.
